Saly Sarr wins Diamond League triple jump title

Saly Sarr has made history for Senegal by winning the women’s triple jump final at the Diamond League in Brussels. At 23 years old, she became the first Senegalese athlete to win a title in this prestigious global circuit.

Sarr secured the gold medal with a jump of 14.96 meters. This victory follows a highly successful season characterized by consistent podium finishes, including a second-place finish in Oslo, a third-place finish in Doha, and another second-place finish in Monaco. She also previously secured a gold medal and set a national record during the Silesia stage of the circuit.
