Salzburg non-profit seeks emergency parents for childcare

The non-profit organization ‘KIB children care’ is seeking emergency parents in the Salzburg region, particularly in the Innergebirg area, to provide support when children or parents fall ill. The initiative operates via an app, allowing volunteers to accept childcare assignments based on their availability without fixed pressure.

To participate, volunteers must undergo a personal interview, provide a clean police record, and complete annual training. Requirements include committing to at least three childcare days per month. Currently, approximately 350 families in Salzburg are members of the association.
