SalzburgMilch launches Europe's first SIG DomeMini on‑the‑go carton bottle

Austrian dairy company SalzburgMilch, the country's third‑largest milk producer, has begun commercial production on SIG's DomeMini 12 aseptic filling line, becoming the first food‑manufacturing company in Europe to use the SIG DomeMini on‑the‑go carton bottle. The new line can fill up to 12,000 packages per hour and switch between seven package sizes in 15 minutes.

The launch features SalzburgMilch’s popular children’s drinks Alex chocolate milk and Lisa vanilla milk, now sold in a 250 ml resealable carton bottle with a large central screw‑cap. The drinks contain less sugar and are fortified with vitamin D and calcium. The packaging combines the protective, renewable‑material benefits of a carton with the convenience of a bottle, offering easy opening, resealing and direct drinking. SalzburgMilch’s Managing Director Andreas Gasteiger and Head of Marketing Florian Schwap highlighted the product’s convenience, sustainability and nutritional improvements.
