Salzgitter is hosting several cultural events, including a musical afternoon and a literature festival.

On August 28, the Werbegemeinschaft CityLebenstedt e. V. will hold a sing-along concert titled ‘Die guten alten Schlager’ at Monumentenplatz in Lebenstedt. Performers Onkel Jürgen & Uncle H1 will lead the audience in singing popular Schlager hits from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is free to the public.

A literature festival will take place at the Kniestedter Kirche in Salzgitter-Bad in September. The program includes a reading by crime novelist Oliver Bottini on September 18, followed by philosopher and author Eva von Redecker on September 19, who will discuss her book regarding the rise of fascism. The festival concludes on September 20 with a live radio play performance of ‘Sherlock vs. Moriarty’ by Theater ex libris.
