A celebration in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt ended in violence early Saturday morning on August 14. An altercation occurred between an 18-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, during which both individuals reportedly used knives to injure one another.
Police arrived at the scene on Lessingstraße following reports of loud screaming. Emergency medical services and several police vehicles responded to the incident. One individual sustained a significant laceration to the side of the body. While the exact severity of the injuries has not been officially released, forensic teams cordoned off a large area of more than 100 meters to document blood traces and other items found at the scene.
Authorities have identified the participants and are conducting investigations. Local reports suggested a white wallet might have triggered the dispute, though police have not confirmed this motive.
