Sam Altman has responded to the trailer for ‘Artificial’, an upcoming film by director Luca Guadagnino that depicts Altman’s brief departure from OpenAI. Speaking at OpenAI’s DevDay in San Francisco, Altman described the project as looking like ‘an awful movie’ but noted that he appreciates the creativity of the filmmakers.

Altman expressed understanding regarding the public anxiety surrounding artificial intelligence, suggesting that cinema can serve as an outlet for people to project their concerns or use humor to address their unease. He stated that he supports the filmmakers’ creative freedom and hopes they ‘have a fun time with it.’
