Sam Barlow announces sci-fi horror game Precognition

Sam Barlow, creator of ‘Her Story’ and ‘Immortality’, has announced his new live-action sci-fi horror game, ‘Precognition’. Developed by Half Mermaid Productions in collaboration with horror filmmaker Brandon Cronenberg, the project was revealed during the Kinetic Publishing Showcase.

The game follows Diana, a woman who receives an experimental brain implant that allows her to see visions of the future. Players must explore these visions and commit specific details to Diana’s memory. However, the act of memorizing a detail triggers a butterfly effect, altering the course of the future and the game's non-linear narrative.

‘Precognition’ is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2028. It will be published by Kinetic Publishing, the new label from the developers of ‘Phasmophobia’. The title is slated for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
