Sam Fender and Olivia Dean set UK chart record with 16‑week No.1 run

Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s duet “Rein Me In” has spent 16 consecutive weeks at number one on the UK singles chart, tying Bryan Adams’s 1995 record and surpassing Wet Wet Wet’s 1994 run. The track also holds the longest uninterrupted stay in the UK Top 40 and the most weeks inside the Top 10 for any non‑Christmas single.

It is Fender’s first UK number‑one and Dean’s second, following her solo hit “Man I Need”. A live performance at Fender’s London Stadium concert in June went viral, boosting the song’s popularity. While the duet is two weeks shy of the all‑time record set by Frankie Laine’s 1953 hit “I Believe”, it has established a new benchmark for contemporary British releases.
