British singers Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have broken a 73‑year‑old UK chart record with their duet “Rein Me In”. The single logged its 19th non‑consecutive week at the top of the Official UK Singles Chart, surpassing Frankie Laine’s 1953 record of 18 weeks. The achievement was highlighted by the Official Charts Company, which awarded the duo the Record Breaker Award. Fender said, “I’m completely lost for words, thank you so much to Olivia Dean and the fans for making this song the juggernaut that it is.”

The milestone was celebrated during Dean’s headlining set at Lollapalooza in Chicago, where she performed the song live for the first time in the United States, bringing Fender onstage. Dean posted on Instagram that she had “been crying all day” before the show, expressing gratitude to the 97,000‑strong audience. The track, originally released in 2025, also won Song of the Year at the 2026 BRIT Awards and continues to dominate streaming and sales across both the UK and US markets.
