Sam King recovers after heart attack and two-hour cardiac arrest
Sam King, a 27-year-old man from Southampton, has recovered after suffering a heart attack shortly before the birth of his daughter. The medical emergency occurred in the early hours of April 3, when King became unresponsive.
His wife, Emma, performed CPR under the guidance of emergency dispatchers before paramedics arrived. During medical intervention, King was defibrillated eleven times, and the period without a heartbeat reached the critical two-hour mark.
Following the incident, King was stabilized at University Hospital Southampton, where he spent nearly three weeks in the intensive care unit. King recently appeared on the British program ‘This Morning’ to share his recovery, stating that he is now doing well.
