Beatles biopic actors recreate iconic Abbey Road cover in London

Actors filming Sam Mendes’ upcoming Beatles biopic series were recently spotted in London recreating the iconic Abbey Road album cover. The footage, which has since gone viral, shows the four lead actors walking across the famous zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios in period-accurate clothing.

The cast includes Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. The production, titled ‘The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event’, is a massive undertaking consisting of four interconnected films, each focusing on a different member of the band from their individual perspective.

This project marks a significant milestone as the first theatrical feature to secure the life rights and full music discography of the band. The films have received approval from surviving members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, though Starr has previously noted some creative disagreements regarding specific script details. The four-part cinematic event is scheduled for a simultaneous theatrical release on April 7, 2028.
