The Beatles biopic project: Sam Mendes to direct four films

Director Sam Mendes is helming an ambitious cinematic project titled ‘The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event’. Rather than a single biopic, the project consists of four separate feature films, each focusing on a different member of the legendary band from their individual perspective.

Filming is currently underway in England, with recent footage showing the cast recreating the iconic Abbey Road crossing. The lead cast includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. Supporting roles include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney and James Norton as Brian Epstein.

Sony Pictures is handling the production, with a scheduled theatrical release in April 2028. Additionally, Apple Corps Ltd has announced a global partnership with Universal Music Group to manage merchandising and licensing as part of the band's ongoing legacy.
