Sam Smith announces 2026 residency and new album

Sam Smith has announced details for their ‘To Be Free’ residency and the upcoming release of their fifth studio album, ‘Hazel Eyes’. The new album is scheduled for release on August 21, 2026, via Capitol Records, featuring twelve tracks blending pop, soul, and contemporary R&B.

As part of the residency, Smith will perform in Mexico in August 2026, including dates in Guadalajara and Mexico City. The UK leg of the residency will take place in September 2026, featuring two shows at the Albert Hall in Manchester on September 3 and 4, followed by eight performances at the London Coliseum between September 8 and 19.

BBC One will broadcast a special concert recorded at the London Coliseum as part of the UK residency. Additionally, BBC Radio 2 will broadcast highlights and an interview with the artist.
