Sam Smith releases fifth studio album ‘Hazel Eyes’
Sam Smith has released their fifth studio album, titled ‘Hazel Eyes’. The project marks a shift toward a more organic and acoustic sound, blending genres such as baroque pop, British folk, outlaw country, and avant-garde R&B.
Inspired by a period of personal change and a relationship with stylist Christian Cowan, the album explores themes of romanticism and queer love. Smith, who served as a co-producer for the first time, described the work as an attempt to embrace natural artistry and vulnerability through open romanticism.
The album features 12 tracks, including the single ‘Constant Companion’, which features a western-inspired music video filmed in Spain. Other notable tracks include ‘My Guy’, ‘When He’s Gone’, and ‘To Be Free’. The project was released under Universal Music.
