Sam Stuchbury and Rebekah Kelly named AXIS 2027 Co-Chairs

The Comms Council has appointed Sam Stuchbury of Motion Sickness and Rebekah ‘Bex’ Kelly of FINCH as the new Co-Chairs for AXIS 2027. Supported by a Creative Council, the duo will oversee the creative awards show in Aotearoa.

Simon Lendrum, CEO of the Comms Council, stated that the appointments highlight the necessity of combining ideas and craft to drive growth for New Zealand businesses. Stuchbury noted a goal to platform the intersection of smart ideas and high-quality craft, while Kelly emphasized the importance of including strong film and craft voices in the judging process to facilitate detailed discussions on technical elements like sound design and animation.
