Samajwadi Party issues legal notice to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey over defamation in Ram Temple donation case

The Samajwadi Party (SP) served a legal notice on BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, accusing him of defamation for linking SP chief Akhilesh Yadav to one of the accused in the alleged embezzlement of donations collected at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The notice, issued by SP lawyer Krishna Kanhaiya Pal, demanded a public apology within two weeks and warned of civil and criminal action if Dubey did not comply.

Dubey had reposted an X post that claimed Tinnu Yadav, a tempo driver arrested in the case, was in regular contact with Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav responded by threatening to file an FIR and ordered the post removed. Former SP MLA Pawan Pandey also backed Yadav, calling the allegations false and urging the BJP to apologise.
