Samaná-Las Galeras roadwork inspection requested

Authorities are being urged to have the National Environmental Protection Service (SEMPA) inspect earthmoving operations in the Loma de la Piña sector along the Samaná-Las Galeras highway. The request aims to verify if the construction site has implemented the necessary signage and preventive measures to ensure driver safety.

Concerns have been raised regarding the presence of heavy machinery and the potential for accidents affecting residents and tourists traveling through the province. The call for inspection is directed to Captain Ortiz, head of SEMPA in Samaná, to coordinate with responsible institutions and ensure compliance with Law No. 63-17 regarding mobility, land transport, and road safety.
