Samantha Adams charged with attempted murder in Florida

Samantha Adams, a 39-year-old woman from Orlando, has been charged with attempted murder, drug possession, tampering with evidence, and offering to commit prostitution. Law enforcement in Polk County, Florida, dubbed her the ‘Black Widow,’ alleging she targets men met on dating apps to extort money.

According to investigators, Adams allegedly spiked a 69-year-old man's whiskey with Benzodiazepine during a visit to his home in Haines City. The victim, who knew her by the name ‘Nala,’ reported that the incident occurred following an argument regarding a vehicle he had purchased for her. After consuming the drink, the man was hospitalized for a benzodiazepine overdose.

The victim informed police of several other suspicious incidents involving Adams, including times he felt unsteady or passed out after consuming small amounts of alcohol at her residence. Sheriff Grady Judd stated that investigators believe money was the primary motive and are looking for other potential victims.
