Samantha Busch honors late NASCAR champion Kyle Busch at inaugural invitational

Samantha Busch delivered an emotional tribute to her late husband, two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, during the inaugural Kyle Busch Invitational at Bowman-Gray Stadium. The event, held three months after Busch’s death on May 21, featured 51 Legends Cars and 18 Bandolero drivers.

In her speech, Samantha Busch expressed gratitude for the community's support during what she described as the ‘hardest [time] of our lives.’ She highlighted Kyle’s deep passion for grassroots racing and his desire to host events at the North Carolina short track, where his career began.

Samantha also spoke about the bond between Kyle and their 11-year-old son, Brexton, who competed in the event. She noted that while watching Brexton pursue his racing dreams without his father is ‘absolutely heartbreaking,’ the family remains grateful for the support received as they navigate their loss.
