Samantha Irvin to become free agent following WWE departure
Former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin is set to become a free agent later this month following the expiration of a 24-month non-compete clause. Irvin, who requested her release from WWE in October 2024, had been barred from appearing for other wrestling promotions for two years.
Irvin addressed rumors regarding her career direction on social media, clarifying that she declined a record deal offered by WWE because she has no interest in the music business. She stated her professional goal has always been to manage wrestlers.
Reports indicate that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has internally discussed bringing Irvin on in an on-screen capacity. While she has reportedly attended dozens of AEW events backstage and maintains a good relationship with the promotion, she is not expected to join the company immediately upon her free agency.
