Samantha Ruth Prabhu expects first child as ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ tops overseas box‑office

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker husband Raj Nidimoru are reported to be expecting their first child. Sources say Samantha is in her first trimester and is due in December 2026. The couple, who married on 1 December 2025 at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, have not publicly confirmed the news, though the director of her new film, B.V. Nandini Reddy, has acknowledged the pregnancy.

The announcement coincides with the strong performance of Samantha’s latest film, Maa Inti Bangaaram. Within two days of release the movie earned roughly ₹25 crore (≈ $1.0 million) worldwide, with an overseas opening of over $700 k. It surpassed the North‑American lifetime gross of Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel and matched the overseas debut of Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The film’s domestic net grew more than 40% on its second day, reaching about ₹12.8 crore, while overseas earnings climbed to roughly ₹10.6 crore.
