Samantha Ruth Prabhu Announces Pregnancy and Upcoming Maternity Break

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu confirmed that she is expecting her first child with husband, filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, during the thank‑you meet for her latest film Maa Inti Bangaaram in Hyderabad. She told the audience, “Sorry guys, one more small gap and then I will be back. I know I have to take maternity leave now. But I am very happy.” The couple, who married on 1 December 2025, plan to welcome the baby later this year.

Samantha said she will pause her work after completing her current commitments, but intends to return to films after a short maternity leave. The film, directed by Nandini Reddy, has become a box‑office hit, crossing the ₹50 crore mark worldwide.

The announcement ends weeks of speculation about a possible pregnancy that arose after fans noticed a baby bump at promotional events.
