Samantha Ruth Prabhu celebrates traditional baby shower

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared details and images from her traditional baby shower ceremony, known as the seemantham, held at the Isha Foundation. The actor is expecting her first child with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, with a due date in December.

The ceremony included the Kalaa Aavarana (Sri Kalpam) ritual from the Srividya tradition. This ritual honors the 94 kalas of Devi by representing various qualities through the seven chakras of the pregnant woman. Samantha noted that the ceremony, led by a Srividya Upaasaka priest, used sacred water and mantras to ritually cleanse and energize these centers.
