Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares details of traditional baby shower ceremony

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has shared details and images from her intimate baby shower ceremony, known as a seemantham, held with her husband, filmmaker Raj Nidimoru. The event featured the Kalaa Aavarana (Sri Kalpam) ritual, a specialized ceremony from the Srividya tradition.

According to the actress, the ritual honors the 94 kalas of Devi through the seven chakras of the mother-to-be. The ceremony included the recitation of the Sri Chakra Yantram and the Devi Khadgamaala, involving sacred water, mantras, and offerings.

Samantha, who is expecting her first child in December, also shared candid photos of her pregnancy journey on Instagram. She noted that the pregnancy came as a surprise, as both she and Nidimoru had previously been comfortable with the possibility of not having children. The couple married in December 2025 at the Linga Bhairavi Temple within the Isha Yoga Centre.
