Samantha Salas heads to Chile for Racquetball World Championship

Mexican racquetball player Samantha Salas has traveled to Temuco, Chile, to compete in the 2026 Racquetball World Championship, held from October 16 to 24. Salas, who qualified during the National Championship in Tijuana, is seeking her sixth world title.

She will compete in the women's doubles category alongside Alexandra Herrera and in the mixed doubles category with Rodrigo Montoya. This competition follows a year-long hiatus caused by a right shoulder injury sustained in 2025. Salas noted she has achieved excellent physical form and mental strength following a rehabilitation process supported by CODE and her training team, which includes her father and coach, Víctor Salas.
