Samantha's 'Maa Inti Bangaram' cleared for U/A release ahead of June debut

Director Nandini Reddy's action drama starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, titled "Maa Inti Bangaram," has been cleared by India's Central Board of Film Certification with a U/A certificate. The film, produced by Tralala Moving Pictures and co‑produced by Raj Nidimoru, is set for theatrical release on June 19.

The story follows a quiet homemaker with a hidden, deadly past, a premise the director likens to Rajinikanth's 1995 film Baasha rather than a spy thriller. Samantha performs most of the action sequences herself, notably while wearing a saree, and describes the role as blending vulnerability with courage. The cast also includes Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth, Gautami and several supporting actors.
