Samara Weaving stars in new thriller Hivemind

Production has begun in Dublin, Ireland, for the environmental thriller Hivemind, starring Samara Weaving and Nicholas Braun. Directed by Ciarán Foy and distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, the film follows a small town facing a dangerous outbreak of aggressive killer wasps. The narrative focuses on local efforts to contain the swarm to prevent a potential global disaster.

The screenplay was written by Peter Gaffney, who is also producing the film alongside Adam Rodin, Brad Luff, and several other production teams including Thunder Road, Badlands, and Wild Atlantic Pictures. Following its theatrical release, the film is expected to stream internationally on Prime Video. An official release date has not yet been announced.
