Samarth Singh Sent to 7‑Day Police Remand in Twisha Sharma Death Case

Police in Bhopal presented Samarth Singh, the husband of model‑actress Twisha Sharma, before the district court after he surrendered in Jabalpur. Following a medical examination at JP Hospital, the court ordered his custody for a seven‑day police remand and ordered the seizure of his passport.

Investigators will question Singh about the night of Twisha’s death, alleged family disputes, mobile phone records, call logs and his movements while on the run. The police cited the need to explore why Singh fled after the incident, despite initial reports that the death was a suicide, and to examine the crime scene and any possible tampering with evidence.
