Samay Raina requests permission to perform live shows in Ahmedabad

Stand-up comedian Samay Raina has publicly requested permission from authorities in Ahmedabad to resume live performances in the city. During an episode of ‘India’s Got Latent 2’, Raina revealed that he has been unable to organize shows in Ahmedabad for the past year due to a lack of required permissions.

The issue arose during a discussion with a contestant from Ahmedabad regarding the development of a local live comedy scene. In response to a request for a shout-out, Raina addressed the local authorities directly, stating, “Ahmedabad authorities if you are watching this, let me do shows in Ahmedabad. I love performing in Gujarat.”

Panelist Varun Dhawan questioned the comedian on the situation, to which Raina confirmed that the inability to secure permissions has prevented his performances in the region for a full year.
