Sambas Regent provides 500 free food packages to residents

Satono, the Regent of Sambas, provided 500 free food packages to residents in Sendoyan Village, Sejangkung District, on Friday, September 11, 2026. The initiative was part of a low-cost market program aimed at maintaining community purchasing power and controlling inflation.

Satono personally covered the costs for the packages, which were previously priced at Rp75,000 each. Each package contained 5 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of sugar, and 1 liter of cooking oil. The distribution utilized a coupon system to prioritize underprivileged citizens. The program was a collaborative effort between the Sambas Regency Government and the Forum for Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSLP) of Sambas Regency.
