Sambenedettese defeats Livorno 2-1 in Serie C comeback

Sambenedettese secured their first home victory of the season with a 2-1 win against Livorno at the Riviera delle Palme stadium. The match saw the home side take an early lead through a header by Stabile following a Candellori free kick in the 8th minute, followed by a second goal from Nicoli in the 12th minute after a long pass from Tunjov.

Livorno attempted a comeback in the second half, with Gabbiani scoring in the 50th minute to narrow the gap. Despite increased pressure from the visitors during the final stages of the match, Sambenedettese's defense held firm to secure the three points. The victory marks a significant turnaround for Sambenedettese under coach D’Alesio, breaking a long period without a home win.

Livorno coach Cristiano Lucarelli attributed the loss to a soft approach in the first half, noting that while his team dominated much of the remaining seventy minutes, early errors proved decisive.
