Samboudian Kamara defends human authorship against AI detection errors
Samboudian Kamara addresses the growing controversy surrounding artificial intelligence detection tools and their tendency to incorrectly flag human-written content. The author argues that these detectors frequently make errors, a phenomenon described by the neologism ‘flagxiety’, which refers to the anxiety writers feel when their work is falsely identified as AI-generated.
Writing for the publication Le Soleil, Kamara notes that current Large Language Models (LLMs) still struggle to perfectly grasp languages such as Serer, despite efforts to train models in Wolof. The piece serves as a defense of human authorship and a critique of the unreliability of automated authenticity checkers.
