Sambuca di Sicilia celebrates 10 years as Borgo dei Borghi

Sambuca di Sicilia is celebrating the tenth anniversary of winning the ‘Borgo dei Borghi’ title, which it first received in 2016. The anniversary will be marked by two days of festivities on August 22 and 23, featuring music, various shows, and the inauguration of a commemorative stele.

Mayor Giovanna Casà noted that the recognition served as a turning point for the town, enhancing its international profile and boosting the local economy and tourism. The town has also gained recognition for its ‘Houses for 1 Euro’ project, which has attracted new residents and investors interested in restoring historical buildings.
