SAMCo in Esperanza invests $58 million in hospital infrastructure and equipment

The municipal hospital network SAMCo in the city of Esperanza announced investments of 58,934,994.80 Argentine pesos between May and July. The funds are directed toward acquiring advanced medical technology, renovating facilities, installing hot‑water and compressed‑air systems in patient rooms, and upgrading operating theatres. Mayor Rodrigo Müller highlighted the administration’s focus on “austerity, control and efficiency” to ensure public resources improve services. SAMCo board president Pablo Lissi noted that the organization entered his tenure with a large debt to suppliers, which was addressed through financial sanitisation, tighter expense control and an accelerated billing system with health insurers, allowing stable revenue for such investments. The upgrades aim to enhance patient care quality and staff comfort.
