Samed Baždar joins Belgian club Sint-Truiden
Bosnian international Samed Baždar has signed a multi-year contract with the Belgian club Sint-Truiden. The 22-year-old forward joins the team following a difficult period at Zaragoza in Spain, where he struggled for consistent playing time, recording five goals in 39 appearances.
Sint-Truiden, which finished third in the Jupiler Pro League last season, has secured a place in European competition. Baždar will wear the number nine jersey and aims to use this move to regain momentum in his career. He noted that the club's project and the opportunity to play in a competitive league were key factors in his decision.
Prior to his move to Spain, Baždar played for Partizan and spent time on loan at Jagiellonia Białystok in Poland. His transfer window was marked by uncertainty, including a failed negotiation with Swedish club AIK, before ultimately securing his move to Belgium.
