Sáenz Peña water service restored after weeks of outage
State water utility Sameep announced that the water supply to Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña was fully restored on Wednesday afternoon. President of Sameep Nicolás Diez supervised the final technical steps, confirming that the city’s cistern became operational and that distribution would resume progressively as pressure is rebuilt in the network.
The utility said no new technical problems are expected and that teams will continue to monitor flow, pressure and valve performance until service is completely normalised. Residents had been without water for several days and were forced to purchase or collect water for basic needs, but the restoration is expected to end the emergency.
Sameep emphasized that the restoration work followed successful overnight tests and that the company is committed to keeping the system stable and responding quickly to any issues that may arise.
