Sameer Wankhede named as witness in Disha Salian death case
Advocate Nilesh Ojha, representing Satish Salian, the father of the late Disha Salian, has identified Indian Revenue Service Officer Sameer Wankhede as one of four witnesses in the death case of the former celebrity manager.
The disclosure follows the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) lodging an FIR following directions from the Bombay High Court. Ojha stated that Wankhede was named as Respondent No. 9 in a writ petition because he allegedly possesses critical data from his previous investigation, including mobile tower location data that may place certain individuals at the crime scene.
Ojha claimed that the evidence being prepared for the CBI suggests the death was not a suicide but involved foul play, citing a High Court order that identifies ten points contradicting the original police report. The legal team intends to present evidence that they believe will be significant for those named in the FIR.
