Sami Pajari wins 2026 Rally Finland for Toyota

Finnish driver Sami Pajari, co‑driven by Marko Salminen, claimed victory at the 2026 Rally Finland on 2 August, delivering his second consecutive World Rally Championship win after triumphing in Estonia two weeks earlier. The win marked the 200th WRC victory by a Finnish driver and coincided with the event’s 75th anniversary.

Pajari finished 26.7 seconds ahead of teammate Oliver Solberg, while fellow Toyota driver Elfyn Evans took third place, 1 minute 19.5 seconds behind. Evans also won the Power Stage, edging Solberg by 0.025 seconds. Sébastien Ogier and co‑driver Julien Ingrassia crashed on special stage 17, were taken to hospital for observation and released without serious injuries.

Toyota Gazoo Racing swept the podium, and the result moved Pajari to second in the drivers’ championship, 30 points behind Evans with four rallies remaining.
