Sami Yusuf to perform traditional Turkish piece in upcoming Türkiye concerts

Musician and composer Sami Yusuf has announced a special addition to his upcoming concert repertoire in Türkiye. As part of his ‘Rooted’ themed performances, Yusuf will perform a unique rendition of the traditional Turkish musical piece ‘Zahid Bizi Tan Eyleme’ for the first time.

The concerts are organized by 3Z Organization and WOVO. The performances are scheduled to take place on September 23 and 24 at the ATO Congresium in Ankara, followed by September 27 and 28 at the Harbiye Auditorium within the Istanbul Congress Center.

The ‘Rooted’ production, prepared in collaboration with the Fons Sophiae Collective, aims to bring together various musical traditions and cultural heritages. The repertoire will feature Yusuf’s original works alongside pieces selected from different eras and traditions, blending contemporary stage concepts with traditional sounds from various geographies.
