Sami Zayn discusses character work and self-awareness

WWE Champion Sami Zayn has described his high level of self-awareness, intellect, and emotional sensitivity as both a “gift and a curse.” In an interview for the WWE Crown Jewel Countdown show, Zayn noted that while these traits can be difficult to carry, they are the intangible qualities that have contributed to his championship success.

Former WWE star Jinder Mahal also praised Zayn, stating that his current character work is among the best in the industry. Mahal noted that Zayn is performing at a level comparable to Roman Reigns, highlighting Zayn's ability to elicit complex reactions from crowds despite his natural babyface persona.

Zayn is scheduled to face Roman Reigns for the Crown Jewel title in Saudi Arabia following a recent confrontation on WWE Raw.
