Samini announces week-long Dansoman festival for December 2026

Reggae and dancehall musician Samini has announced the expansion of his annual end-of-year concert into a seven-day community festival titled ‘Samini Xperience 2026’. Scheduled to run from December 18 to 24, the event is rooted in the Accra suburb of Dansoman, where the artist grew up.

The festival will feature a diverse range of activities, including a community clean-up, a health walk and screening day, a food bazaar, a celebrity all-star basketball tournament, a talent showcase, a fashion event, and a street carnival. The week of programming will culminate in a concert on Christmas Eve at the Carl Reindorf Stadium.

Organized in partnership with the Dansoman Municipal Assembly, the initiative aims to promote local culture, boost commerce during the festive season, and provide opportunities for emerging performers and young creatives. Unlike Samini’s previous touring concert series, Saminifest, this event focuses specifically on community engagement and local economic activity within Dansoman.
