Sammichele di Bari hosts 60th Sagra della Zampina and futsal season launch

The town of Sammichele di Bari is hosting the 60th edition of the Sagra della Zampina, a historic food festival celebrating the local IGP meat product, mozzarella, and regional wine. The event, which began in 1967, serves as a significant cultural milestone for the Puglia region.

During the festival celebrations in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the futsal club Sammichele 1992 officially presented its squad for the upcoming season. This year marks the club’s 35th anniversary and its 16th consecutive year participating in national championships. Club president Agostino Spinelli and experienced pivot Alessandro Marolla highlighted the team’s recent training and its focus on local talent and youth development as they prepare for their season opener against Molfetta.
