Samoa Joe returns to AEW with attack on Jack Perry

Samoa Joe returned to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) during the Tailgate Brawl at the All Out event in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Following Jack Perry’s victory over Katsuyori Shibata, Joe made his first television appearance since May.

After Perry defeated Shibata, he attempted to shake hands with Joe. Joe initially appeared to decline, but after Perry insisted, Joe accepted the handshake only to immediately strike Perry with a headbutt. This confrontation continues a storyline in which Perry has spent several weeks calling out the former AEW World Champion.

Joe had previously stepped away from AEW television to pursue filming commitments for the series ‘Twisted Metal’ on Peacock. His return follows a period where Perry had been facing a losing streak since signing a new contract in July.
