Samos: Six students rescued from school bus after landslides

Six middle school students were rescued by firefighters in Marathokampo, Samos, after their school bus became trapped due to landslides. The incident occurred during the passage of storm Agneta, which has brought severe weather to the region.

Firefighting teams deployed five personnel and two vehicles to reach the immobilized vehicle. The students were first moved to a safe location and subsequently transported to their homes by fire engines. Authorities confirmed that all students are in good health.

Due to the red warning issued by the National Meteorological Service, several educational institutions on the island, including the evening vocational high school in Samos and the vocational high school in Karlovasi, have suspended operations to ensure the safety of students and staff.
