Samos to receive 421 migrants from Crete on Sunday

A transfer of 421 migrants from Crete to the island of Samos is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026. This operation is part of a strategic plan to decongest hospitality structures in Crete.

The transfer will be conducted via a SeaJets high-speed vessel, which is expected to depart from Malagari port at 15:30. Upon arrival, the migrants will be transported to the Closed Controlled Access Center (KEDN) in Zervou, Samos, where authorities will conduct registration and identification procedures.

Since June 2026, approximately 1,635 individuals have been transferred from Crete to Samos. If this Sunday's transfer is completed, the total number of relocated persons will exceed 2,000.
