Samosir to host The Caldera Culture Festival 2026

Samosir Regency will host The Caldera Culture Festival (TCCF) 2026, held in conjunction with the Samosir International Choir Competition (SICC) 2026. The event is scheduled to take place from September 24 to 27, 2026, in the Lake Toba region.

Approximately 2,000 choir participants from various regions across Indonesia are expected to attend, competing for the North Sumatra Governor's Rotating Trophy and total prizes of Rp150 million. Under the theme “Gema Tanah Toba: Dari Tanah Toba Menyatukan Ragam Suara dan Budaya,” the festival aims to integrate art, culture, tourism, environmental awareness, and local economic empowerment.

Mora Nasution, Chairperson of the TCCF 2026 Steering Committee, stated that the festival is intended to provide a broad experience for tourists and participants, allowing them to engage with local culture and small businesses. The event is a collaborative effort involving the North Sumatra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the Lake Toba Authority, Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU), and the Samosir Regency Government.
