Danel Sinani signs five‑year deal with Italian club Sampdoria

Luxembourg international midfielder Danel Sinani has officially joined Serie A side Sampdoria on a permanent contract lasting until 30 June 2028. The 29‑year‑old, born in Belgrade and of Albanian descent, arrived after two seasons with German Bundesliga club FC St. Pauli, having previously played for Norwich City, Huddersfield Town, Wigan Athletic and several clubs in Belgium, Luxembourg and England.

Sampdoria’s announcement highlights Sinani’s versatility as an attacking midfielder able to operate as a trequartista, wide forward or second striker, noting his speed, one‑v‑one skill and experience in European competitions with the Luxembourg national team. The signing is part of the club’s effort to add creativity and unpredictability to its attack for the upcoming season.
