Bernardo Corradi appointed Sampdoria head coach

Bernardo Corradi, a former striker who retired in 2012, has been hired as the new head coach of Serie A club Sampdoria. At almost 50, Corradi completed the UEFA coaching course with top marks and previously worked with youth teams and as a tactical assistant for Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus. He said he wants to give everything to the supporters and will focus on dialogue and individual player development.

The club also announced that former defender Vasco Regini will return to the organization in a dual role, serving as vice‑coach of the Primavera (U‑19) side and coordinating the development of defenders in the U‑14 to U‑16 categories. Additionally, sporting director Americo Branco is still searching for a left‑back and has identified free agent Ricardo Rodríguez, a 34‑year‑old Swiss international with experience in Serie A, La Liga and the World Cup, as a potential target.
