Sampdoria marks 80 years with drone light show in Genoa

Sampdoria will celebrate its 80th anniversary on 12 August 2026 with a spectacular drone light show over Genoa’s Porto Antico. About 450 drones will illuminate the sky between 22:00 and midnight, an event organized in partnership with the city and the port authority.

The club’s supporters group La Sud has declined the invitation to the official celebration and is planning its own event, titled “80 voglia di te”, on the same day, possibly at the Carlinì stadium. The boycott reflects ongoing tensions between the fan group and the club’s management.
