Sampdoria signs Antoine Makoumbou amid Melegoni transfer stall

Sampdoria has officially announced the signing of midfielder Antoine Makoumbou. The French-Congolese player joins on a temporary basis with an option to buy from Samsunspor, signing a contract through June 30, 2027. Makoumbou, who has previously played for Cagliari and Monaco's youth academy, brings international experience from the Republic of Congo to the squad managed by Bernardo Corradi.

In contrast, negotiations for midfielder Filippo Melegoni appear to have stalled. Despite interest from Sampdoria to add his versatility to the midfield, current indications suggest the move from Carrarese is unlikely to materialize, as the player has not signaled a desire to join the club.
